Thrivent Financial

Dear Pastor, Congregational advocate, and Thrivent members:

As many of you may be aware, Thrivent did a number of changes in their fraternal giving this past year. There is no longer 3 members on the congregation board. Each church needs a congregational advocate to maintain connections between Thrivent, the county board, and your congregation. Many of the churches in Marshall County have not appointed their advocate and the congregation is not getting important mailings.

This spring members were sent an email or card in their Thrivent magazine to vote for the charity of their choice. This was the first $1,000,000 that Thrivent distributed to national charities. Churches were sent letter to sign up as a designated charity for members that qualify to donate to their church or other charities.

In the next couple of weeks qualifying members will have a chance to share their Thrivent Choice dollars. This can be done online or by mail. MEMBERS WILL BE RECEIVING A LETTER, SO THEY SHOULD BE WATCHING FOR THIS. In order to receive Thrivent choice dollars, members must have $800 in premiums or a value product of over $20,000.

As members of the Marshall County Thrivent board, we are concerned that members will not pay attention to their mailings. We request that the congregation make an announcement and put in newsletters and bulletins to watch for their mailing.

If you have any questions, please call me or your Thrivent Financial agent (Jeremy Folland or Chad Erickson).

Sincerely yours,

Ellen Anton
